Hyperpigmentation is when your skin naturally produces excess melanin due to a variety of factors such as sun exposure, hormones, acne scars, inflammation and more. This gives your skin an uneven tone that makes hard to cover without making it look worse. It's not something anyone wants to deal with but luckily there are a few ways we can even your complexion!

Top tips to follow when you struggle with an uneven complexion:

-Stop over exfoliating your skin, you could be doing more harm than good. 

-Wear a physical sunscreen of 50 or higher.

-Apply a pigment correcting product directly on your skin after cleansing twice a day.

-Apply a pigment corrector directly on skin after cleansing twice a day.

Invest in a powder sunscreen and keep it in your purse, reapply every 3-4 hours.

-Cut out applying any essential oil or DIY skincare, it could be irritating and making your pigment worse.

-Keep your skincare simple. Gentle cleanser, bland moisturizer, pigment corrector, gentle retinol, and a mineral SPF 50 or higher.
