How to tint your brows at home 101 with a Medical Esthetician
Want to try eyebrow tinting at home? All you need is 5 to 10 minutes and a few products to enjoy the benefits of waking up with defined full brows.
You’ll need:
Cotton Rounds
Petroleum jelly or vitamin E (Drip-free barrier)
1. Do a patch first
48 hours before dyeing to ensure your skin won’t react negatively to the solution. Mix a small amount of color and developer and apply a small amount on your wrist or back of your ear and wait for 48 hours to see if you have a reaction to the brow tint.
2. Decide on a Dye/Shade
I am a fan on the Refectocil brow tinting kits. It is the same brand we used at the medical spa I managed for ten years. Pick which color would be better out of the two color options
-If you have medium to light brows go with the Light Brown
-If you are more medium to dark go with the Natural Brow Kit
3. Mix Up the Magic
You may want to wear glovesI tend to skip this step because I have I have done it so much. Now, squeeze a small amount into a mini glass dish (the smaller the better). Add equals parts developer and mix vigorously until well combined.
4. Apply Color to Brows
Apply tint to brows. make sure to apply a generous amount of tint to brows and on to the skin if you have any bald patches.
5. Set time
Set timer once tint is applied to brows for 5 minutes. Rinse off brows with cotton rounds and water after five minutes to check depth of color. Reapply tint if you would like a darker look. Set timer for another five minutes. Rinse off again with water and cotton rounds. *After tinting your brows a few times you will learn how long you prefer tint to be on brows for desired outcome.
